Ileaks each Spark Plug one by one while labeling them with their designated cylinder number on separate trays for storage. Check each Spark Plug gap before adjusting it for a setting of 1.01 mm (0.040 in). Replace spark plugs by beginning each plug with hand starts in their proper cylinders while observing fastener cautions for vehicle safety. Tighten spark plugs used on heads to 15 nm (11 lb ft), new aluminum heads to 20 nm (15 lb ft), whereas new iron heads require a torque of 30 nm (22 lb ft). The last operation involves Spark Plug wire installation.
