The procedure to change the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) for Bank 2 Sensor 2 starts with vehicle elevation and the use of jack stands at the opposite end of component removal along with a hoist strap to ensure safety. Remove the HO2S by using the J 39194-B Oxygen Sensor Wrench after you disconnect the HO2S connector. Apply anti-seize compound GM P/N 5613695 to threads if needed because this compound consisting of liquid graphite and glass beads promotes easier sensor removal in the future. Use the J 39194-B to install the HO2S before tightening it to 42 Nm (31 lb ft) and finally connect the HO2S harness connector .
