Start by unplugging the engine harness electrical connector from the camshaft position (CMP) sensor wire harness before unfastening both Oil Pan-to-front cover bolts and front cover bolts. Remove the front cover and its gasket before discarding the gasket while also removing the crankshaft front oil seal. The process of removing the engine front cover requires you to first disconnect the cmp sensor wire harness from its housing then remove both the wire harness and the cmp sensor.
