A: Begin transmission fluid auxiliary cooler replacement on 6l45/6l50/6l80/6l90 automatic transmission by first removing the grille assembly. A drain pan goes beneath the car followed by removal of the Transmission Oil Cooler lines from the Transmission Oil Cooler. Begin by detaching the Oil Cooler lines from the Transmission Oil Cooler and proceed to uninstall the 4 bolts holding the Transmission Oil Cooler to the radiator support and finally remove the cooler. Follow installation directions by attaching the Oil Cooler to the radiator support using 4 bolts tightened to 10 nm (89 lb in).
