The first step for Fan Clutch replacement includes extracting the upper Fan Shroud. You must apply the j 41240-5a tool against the Fan Clutch nut before using the j 46406 to fasten the pulley for successful Fan Clutch assembly removal. Examine the belt together with hub adapter and pulley for signs of cracks along with distortion and damage. Move the cooling fan off the Fan Clutch before continuing. First attach the cooling fan to the Fan Clutch and afterward the Fan Clutch assembly to the pulley. The operator installs the j 41240-5a on the Fan Clutch nut while securing the pulley with j 46406 before tightening the nut to 56 nm (41 lb ft). The installation process ends with replacement of the upper Fan Shroud.
