    The essential tools for Fan Clutch replacement consist mainly of the Fan Clutch remover and installer tool (J 41240). Begin by unscrew the Fan Shroud bolts placed at the radiator support top and Fan Shroud bolts at the Fan Shroud sides before removing the upper Fan Shroud. Install the j 41240 onto the Fan Clutch nut for securing the pulley before you remove the Fan Clutch assembly. Check the belt and hub with adapter along with pulley for signs of cracks or distortion or any form of damage during inspection. Next detach the Fan Clutch by removing its bolts from both components before separating them from the Fan Blade. Install the Fan Clutch to the Fan Blade and tighten its bolts to 25 nm (18 foot pounds). Utilize the j 41240 which will secure the pulley as you tighten the nut to 95 nm (70 ft. Lbs.). The installation process ends with securing Fan Shroud bolts to the radiator support top at 6 nm (53 inch lbs.) while installing the remaining bolts to the sides of the Fan Shroud at 6 nm (53 inch lbs.).
