How to replace the Fan Shroud Upper (Mechanical) on 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500?

The first step in replacing the engine coolant fan upper shroud (Mechanical) requires users to first loosen the air cleaner outlet duct clamps which are attached to the Throttle Body and mass airflow sensor then removing the air cleaner outlet duct itself. The mechanic should take off both the Throttle Body heater hose retainer along with the inlet radiator hose retainer if the system includes these components. You must begin by removing the Fan Shroud retainers and bolts and then take out the upper Fan Shroud afterwards. Position the upper Fan Shroud before installing its Fan Shroud bolts and tightening them to 9 nm (80 lb in). Install first the retainers of the Fan Shroud then proceed with the installation of the inlet radiator hose retainer followed by the Throttle Body heater hose retainer if the vehicle is equipped. Replace the air cleaner outlet duct by securing the Throttle Body clamp with 4 nm torque (35 lb in) and the mass airflow sensor clamp with 4 nm torque (35 lb in).
