Disconnect the lower exhaust manifold bolts 1 and 2 before removing the exhaust manifold lower heat shield. The installation of the exhaust manifold lower heat shield needs to begin with positioning it over the engine while following fastener caution to protect the vehicle from damage. Fasten the exhaust manifold lower heat shield bolts (1, 2) by torquing bolt to 10 Nm (89 lb in) and bolt to 50 Nm (37 lb ft). Finally, lower the vehicle.
