Apply parking brake, remove floor-console left extension panel, disconnect tap-up/tap-down switch connector, key to RUN, pull lever rearward. Pry trim ring downward, exposing retaining screw; remove knob while guiding harness past indicator. Lubricate lever tip, install knob, tighten screw, snap trim ring, return lever to PARK, reconnect switch, test operation, reinstall panel, release brake.
