First drain fuel underneath the bottom of the fuel tank fill hose by opening the fuel filler cap. Begin by removing two retaining bolts along with a push-pin holding the filler neck to the body and raise the vehicle up. The first step involves removing the ground strap bolt from the fuel filler tube and then disconnecting the fuel fill hose from the fuel fill pipe after loose clamp removal. The mechanic should separate the fuel fill pipe assembly. When installing the fuel fill pipe system position it within the fuel fill pipe housing before securing the clamp to 2.75 nm (24 lb in). Connect the fuel filler tube ground strap bolt before tightening it to 8 nm (70 lb in). After that, lower the vehicle. Bolts from the fuel fill pipe housing should be tightened to 6 nm (53 lb in) while the push-pin is installed along with refilling the fuel tank and attaching the fuel filler cap.
