Webasto recommends beginning the replacement of lower rear side door latch strikers by removing first the stepwell mat located beneath the vehicle side doors before proceeding. The installation process starts by removing the two bolts which keep the lower striker fixed to the stepwell before separating it from the vehicle. Follow these steps to install the lower striker to its position by placing it back on the vehicle then securely tighten the two bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb in). The replacement process requires installation of the stepwell mat onto the side door.
