  • Q: How to replace the exhaust muffler on 2010 GMC Yukon?
    A: To replace the exhaust Muffler, first, lift and assign the car. Remove the chassis wiring harness electrical connector from the right rear wheel speed sensor wiring harness electrical connector , as well as if equipped with rpo z55, remove the chassis wiring harness electrical connector from the right rear Shock Absorber and the right rear air line, from the Shock Absorber . Separate the right rear wheel speed sensor wiring harness electrical connector clip from the frame and make sure not to pry the rear suspension sensor link rod from the rear position sensor ball stud. Unplug the right rear automatic level control sensor link rod from the sensor by holding the sensor lever and twisting the ball from the ball stud of the link rod. Make use of an appropriate adjustable jack underneath the rear axle and then get rid of the right axle tie rod bolt and nut, the rear axle vent hose if emergency, the vent hose swivel clip at the rear brake crossover pipe in case of need, the right rear stabilizer shaft link to frame bolt and nut, and the right rear stabilizer shaft link from the frame. Mount the insulators to the third exhaust system hanger (1), the fourth hanger (2), the exhaust system hanger near the resonator, and making sure not to overextend the flex coupler. Mount the Muffler assembly to the three-way Catalytic Converter and fasten the norma clamp bolt to 28 nm (21 lbft). Raise the rear axle up to its position using the adjustable jack, then install the right rear Shock Absorber lower bolt and nut, tighten to 95nm (70lb ft). Install the right rear stabilizer shaft link to the frame and then the right rear stabilizer shaft link to frame bolt and nut tightening it to 65 nm ( 48 lbft ). Mount the right rear axle tie rod bolt and nut along with the rear axle, vent hose if required and the vent hose swivel clip to the rear brake crossover pipe if required. Apply the j38185, the right rear link rod to the ball studs on the sensors, then the right rear wheel speed sensors wiring harness clips to the frame and Control Arm Bracket then right rear wheel speed sensors wiring harness electrical connector clip to the frame. While replacing the wheel speed sensor by the under vehicle cable disconnect both ends of the license light wire between the vehicle neutral switch accessory hitch wire to the vehicle neutral switch, do not disconnect the key connection to the vehicle neutral switch.
