Buick Century Ignition Control Module Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to service the Ignition Control Module on Buick Century?
A: Service on the Ignition Control Module begins by disconnecting all electrical connectors connected to the module's chassis. Record the original spark plug wire positions before you disconnect them from both Ignition Coils. Start by disconnecting the Ignition Control Module from the coil assemblies through screw removal and finally detach the coils from their position on the module. Next step involves removing the Ignition Control Module from the bracket assembly. Install the Ignition Control Module back onto its bracket before positioning the coils on top of the module. Refer to fastener notice in service precautions during this operation. Secure the screws back into position while tightening them to a torque setting of 4.5 n.m which equals 40 lb in. Reconnect the Spark Plug Wires according to the original order followed by installation of electrical connectors to the Ignition Control Module.
