The evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve replacement process begins by taking off the fuel injector sight shield and then breaking the chassis evaporative emission (EVAP) pipe quick connect fitting from the evap canister purge solenoid valve and the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the valve. You must begin by disassembling the three parts comprised of the upper Intake Manifold evap canister purge tube quick connect fitting, evap canister purge solenoid valve bracket bolt, and evap canister purge solenoid valve (w/bracket) along with evap canister purge tube. Position the valve bracket at the upper Intake Manifold while installing the evap canister purge solenoid valve bracket bolt with a torque of 10 n.m (89 lb in). Begin installation by joining the evap canister purge tube quick connect fitting to the upper Intake Manifold then connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the evap canister purge solenoid valve and finish with the chassis evap pipe quick connect fitting to the valve before reinstalling the fuel injector sight shield.
