How to Replace the Left Side Catalytic Converter on Buick Enclave?

To change the left side catalytic converter, you should start by taking off the exhaust manifold heat shield. Then, remove the catalytic converter to exhaust manifold nuts and the exhaust flexible pipe. Now, take out the catalytic converter brace bolt and unhook the catalytic converter from the exhaust manifold. Remove the catalytic converter to exhaust manifold seal. For installation, apply a new exhaust manifold seal on the catalytic converter, then fasten it to the exhaust manifold. In place of the catalytic converter brace bolt , install and tighten a bolt to 41 Nm (30 lb ft). Replace the exhaust flexible pipe and fasten the catalytic converter to exhaust manifold nuts up to a torque specification of 50 Nm (37 lb ft). Finally put back the exhaust manifold heat shield.
