Homeowners can reach the filter by accessing the panel which is positioned under the hood near the passenger side windshield. Start by pushing the cover release tabs towards the left to detach it from the area. A tool (Require Tool: 123456) can be deployed to remove the push pin which resides within the air filter compartment section near its inside wall. Use Tool Required: 123456 to spread the pin holding the air filter in position by pressing it between the air filter and compartment wall from the outboard direction. Gently extract the air filter with its contained debris inside this compartment. To complete the procedure reinstall the push pin followed by placing the cover it back.
