    The first step for condenser replacement begins with recovering all refrigerant from the system. First remove the front compartment sight shield before taking off the hood latch support. Hold the suction hose bolt while disconnecting the hose and removing its nut because you need to discard both sealing washers. Agaist after removing the suction hose bolt and the suction hose you must throw away the sealing washers. Remove the condenser from the radiator retainer by unstiffening the condenser mount bolts followed by unfastening the condenser lines from their radiator mounting bolt. Before installing a new condenser you must add refrigerant oil to it. Insert the new condenser within the radiator retainer while keeping the mounting bolts torqued to 9 nm (80 lb in). You should reuse the condenser line mounting bracket and attach the condenser line to the radiator mounting bolt by tightening it to 6 nm (53 lb in). Put new sealing washers into place and attach the suction hose to the condenser unit. Secure the suction hose bolt at 16 nm (12 lb ft). Secure the evaporator hose with new sealing washers before tightening its nut to 16 nm (12 lb ft). After rehanging the hood latch bracket install new a/c system pressure and inspect for leaks using j 39400-a - halogen leak detector. You must reinstall the front compartment sight shield as the last step.
