How to replace the HVAC control module on Cadillac CTS?

You can start HVAC control module replacement by unscrewing the ashtray then completing the HVAC trim plate removal by pulling on both right and left sides. The HVAC control module electrical connector, alongside the ash tray electrical connector, needs to be disconnected. Then use screw removal to take out the HVAC control module screws and uninstall the HVAC control module. When installing the HVAC control module place it into the trim plate following the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions while installing the HVAC control module screws which require a torque of 2 N.m (18 lb in). Start by connecting the HVAC control module electrical connector and the ash tray electrical connector. Press the trim plate to make the tabs engage. Finally, install the screw behind the ashtray while applying 2 N.m (18 lb in) torque.
