How to replace the door moldings on the front door frame on Cadillac DeVille?

The first thing you need to do to replace the garnish molding on the front door frame is remove a trim panel. Next, remove the front and rear retainers, and then, remove the garnish molding from the assembly of weather strips. For installation, start by feeding the front retainer through the garnish molding and into the inner panel and then fastening the garnish molding downwards to the weather strip assembly. Once that is done, install the rear retainer and finally replace the trim panel.
