The replacement process of 4.8l, 5.3l and 6.0l outlet Radiator hoses begins with draining the cooling system fluid. Begin by loosening the air cleaner outlet ducts at the
Throttle Body which also includes the clamps of the mass airflow/intake air temperature (MAF/IAT) sensor before removing the air cleaner outlet duct. Remove the outlet hose by moving the hose clamp from the front of
Water Pump before releasing the hose from the Water Pump. Proceed with moving the outlet hose clamp from the Radiator then detach the outlet hose from the Radiator next. The installation process requires a step where the outlet hose must be connected to the Radiator followed by installation of the outlet hose clamp to the Radiator. To complete installation of the outlet hose position it at the Water Pump while securing the clamp in place with attention to the Throttle Body attaching stud direction. Complete the reinstallation of air cleaner outlet duct before you fasten the Radiator inlet hose clip to the outlet duct. Screw the clamp bolts on the air cleaner outlet duct at the Throttle Body and maf/iat sensor until they reach 7 nm (62 inch lbs.). Finally, fill the cooling system.
