Raise the vehicle for service and take out the left wheel assembly plus wheelhouse liner to gain access to the washer solvent container. Take off washer pump hoses from the left side fender flange and transfer windshield washer solvent to a suitable receptacle. Disengage electrical cables then lower the vehicle to reach the
Hood Latch and open it up. Unscrew the windshield washer solvent cap and auxiliary battery tray at its base to reach the upper bolt securing the washer container. It is crucial to take off the washer container from beneath the vehicle through the wheelhouse opening. Unfasten and take out the top windshield washer solvent holder bolts and the windshield washer solvent holder assembly. Put the washer pumps and level indicator into the new washer solvent container followed by installation of the windshield washer container assembly. Secure the upper windshield washer container bolt to the auxiliary battery tray whenever it is present while tightening the upper windshield washer solvent container bolts to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Reinstall the auxiliary battery tray while putting the washer solvent cap back on its place and connecting all electrical wiring before attaching washer pump tubes (1, 2). Reinstall the left front wheel house lining pieces and put back the left front wheel elements before filling the washer solvent reservoir with proper fluid.
