Before working on the windshield washer solvent container step one is to lift and suspend the vehicle. Take off both the left front wheel and wheelhouse liner parts from their position. Take off the Washer Pump hoses (1, 2) from their left side fender flange connections to collect windshield washer solvent in a proper container. Lower the vehicle and access the Hood Latch by disconnecting all electrical parts. Take off the washer solvent bottle cap as well as the extra battery box if it exists. Unfasten the bolt beneath the auxiliary battery tray to access the top windshield washer container bolt and disconnect it. Install the whole windshield washer solvent container assembly. Place washer pumps and level indicator parts on the new washer solvent container before installing the whole windshield washer system. Secure the upper windshield washer container bolt to the auxiliary battery tray when equipped and tighten the upper windshield washer solvent container bolts to 9 nm (80 lb in). Attach the auxiliary battery tray as needed before putting the washer solvent cap back in place while adding Washer Pump hose connections (1, 2). You must put back on the left front wheelhouse liner and left front wheel assembly before placing windshield solvent into the washer container.

When replacing the windshield washer solvent container lift the vehicle and find a stable position. Take out the left front wheel component and the left wheelhouse liner. Separate the Washer Pump hoses from the left fender flange into the suitable container. Attach the power wires below the car to reach the Hood Latch then open the hood. Take out the windshield washer solvent cap and pull the auxiliary battery tray when it exists. Lift the auxiliary battery tray if installed to access the container bolt below. Then remove both upper windshield washer solvent container bolts and the windshield washer solvent container assembly. Use the washer pumps and level indicator from your old washer solvent container to put them into the new one before installing the windshield washer container assembly. The upper windshield washer container bolt goes to suitable battery tray locations only. Screw in upper windshield washer solvent container bolts until they achieve 9 nm (80 lb in). Replace the battery tray if equipped with it then fit the washer solvent cap with all electrical connections and tubes (1 and 2). Put in both left front wheelhouse parts and wheel assembly before filling windshield solvent into the washer solvent reservoir.

To replace the windshield washer solvent container you need to raise and support the vehicle to work safely. Disconnect both parts from the left front wheel area to work on the windshield repair. Use the wrench tool to disconnect hoses (1, 2) at the Washer Pump and the left side fender flange to drain washer solvent into a proper vessel. You need to disconnect power wires to reach the Hood Latch while the vehicle drops down. Take out the windshield washer solvent cap and the auxiliary battery tray if needed. Extract the windshield washer bolt from underneath the auxiliary battery tray when present and pull the washer container out through the wheelhouse opening to take out the upper windshield washer solvent bolts. Proceed to take out the windshield washer solvent unit. Move washer pumps and level indicator parts from old washer solvent container into new one before placing the windshield washer container assembly. Put the upper windshield washer container bolt onto the auxiliary battery tray if present and connect it securely. Afterwards, screw in the upper windshield washer solvent container bolts and tighten them to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Reattach the windshield washer solvent cap while you also install the auxiliary battery tray when it exists and then properly link both electrical connectors and Washer Pump hoses (1, 2). Replace the left front wheel components by returning the wheelhouse liner and wheel assembly. Also refill the washer solvent tank with designed windshield solvent.

Raise the vehicle for service and take out the left wheel assembly plus wheelhouse liner to gain access to the washer solvent container. Take off washer pump hoses from the left side fender flange and transfer windshield washer solvent to a suitable receptacle. Disengage electrical cables then lower the vehicle to reach the Hood Latch and open it up. Unscrew the windshield washer solvent cap and auxiliary battery tray at its base to reach the upper bolt securing the washer container. It is crucial to take off the washer container from beneath the vehicle through the wheelhouse opening. Unfasten and take out the top windshield washer solvent holder bolts and the windshield washer solvent holder assembly. Put the washer pumps and level indicator into the new washer solvent container followed by installation of the windshield washer container assembly. Secure the upper windshield washer container bolt to the auxiliary battery tray whenever it is present while tightening the upper windshield washer solvent container bolts to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Reinstall the auxiliary battery tray while putting the washer solvent cap back on its place and connecting all electrical wiring before attaching washer pump tubes (1, 2). Reinstall the left front wheel house lining pieces and put back the left front wheel elements before filling the washer solvent reservoir with proper fluid.
