How to replace the engine flywheel on Cadillac Escalade EXT?

Initial steps to replace the engine Flywheel include removing the automatic transmission where you must record both the orientation and direction of the Flywheel before extraction. Following bolt removal from the Flywheel you can take out the Flywheel piece. Two m11x1.5 mm bolts should be installed into the threaded holes of the spacer which can then be removed from the Crankshaft rear by turning them clockwise. The installation requires placing the spacer onto the Crankshaft rear before adding the Flywheel along with bolts to install on the Crankshaft. Longer Flywheel bolts need to be used when installing a Flywheel spacer. You need to treat the Flywheel bolt threads with gm threadlock gm p/n 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) or its equivalent product. Begin bolt tightening on the Flywheel by maintaining sequence following 20 nm (15 ft. Lbs.), continuing with 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.) then finish at 100 nm (74 ft. Lbs.). You should reinstall the automatic transmission after performing these tasks.
