Before bolting the sway bar link to its place you must first clean away all original adhesive residues then apply threadlocker gm p/n 12345382 (canadian p/n 10953489) blue loctite # 242 between the threads of each bolt. Mount the sway bar link bolts as the next step before fastening the sway bar link nut to the link bolt with a torque of 10 N.m (89 lb in) while allowing 2-4 threads to appear beyond the nut. The sway bar stays safe when clamp load loss happens because the link bolt threads should stick out by 2 to 4 threading above the link nut following torque completion. End the procedure by taking out safety stands before lowering the vehicle.
