How to replace the shock absorber in the rear suspension of the 15 Series on Cadillac Escalade EXT?

Replacement of the Shock Absorber in the 15 series rear suspension starts by raising and supporting the vehicle. The electrical connector and air line should both be disconnected from the esc system before comfortably supporting the rear axle. If the vehicle has esc remove its sensor first then undo the upper Shock Absorber bolt and its nut followed by removing lower Shock Absorber bolt and nut to extract the Shock Absorber. Begin by adding the new Shock Absorber and then attach it with the upper Shock Absorber hardware and bolt. Tighten both upper and lower Shock Absorber fasteners up to 95 nm torque specifications of 70 ft. Lbs. Reinstall the esc sensor if needed after securing any electrical connector and air line components that have rtd. Next perform the following steps: remove the support from the rear axle, move away the safety stands and lower the vehicle down.
