How to service and repair the evaporative emissions hose related to the canister and fuel tank on Cadillac Seville?

The first step to repair or service the canister and Fuel Tank evaporative emissions hose is to extract the Fuel Tank. Begin service on the evaporative emission (EVAP) vent hose by disconnecting it from the fill limiter vent valve before removing the hose from the Fuel Tank. After repositioning the evap vent hose or pipe on the Fuel Tank you must connect it to the fuel limiter vent valve before placing the Fuel Tank back and letting the vehicle drop. Replace kinked and damaged nylon pipes before installation because they can cause vehicle damage. Install orginal parts specified by gm for vapor pipes and hoses using hose materials identified with gm 6163m or fluoroelastomer.
