How to replace the rear compartment lid overslam bumper on Cadillac STS?

You need to open the rear compartment space to start replacing the overslam bumper on it. Turn the outer bumper counterclockwise to detach it from the compartment lid. Take off both bumpers (1, 2) from the hinge afterward. Twist the outer bumper clockwise to put it on the compartment lid then modify the hinge position to raise the lid edge before setting back the two bumpers on the hinge before closing the rear compartment.
