  The first priority when replacing a Fuel Pressure Regulator requires eliminating pressure from the fuel system. You should first extract the upper intake manifold assembly and then detach the Fuel Pressure Regulator retainer clip. Take off the four components of the regulator system beginning with the regulator seal lower o-ring followed by the regulator assembly filter then the regulator seal upper o-ring and ending with the regulator seal back up ring before discarding them.
