Initial steps are to disconnect the negative
Battery Cable, take off the engine cover, and get rid of the air cleaner outlet resonator and the air cleaner outlet resonator adapter stud. Then, you should detach the cruise control cable along with the accelerator cable, take out the stud and nuts from the accelerator control cable bracket, and lay it aside. Remove both the (IAC) valve harness connector and the (TP) sensor harness connector, and then take out the Throttle Body retaining studs and the Throttle Body assembly, throwing away the old Throttle Body seal. Clean the part of the
Intake Manifold where the gasket goes, then put in the Throttle Body assembly using a new seal and tighten the retaining studs to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Put the air cleaner outlet resonator adapter stud back in, tightening it to 8 n.m (71 lb in), and then plug in the tp sensor and iac valve harness. Install the accelerator cable bracket with fasteners tightened to 12 n.m (106 lb in), being sure the accelerator and cruise control cables do not prevent the throttle from closing all the way. Install both the accelerator cable and the cruise control cable, add the air cleaner outlet resonator and put on the engine cover, and finally reconnect the negative Battery Cable. To finish, apply pressure to the accelerator pedal all the way and release it, checking that it operates smoothly with no binding from closed to wide open throttle.
