How to replace the throttle cable on Chevrolet Astro?

Begin the replacement process of the accelerator controls cable by taking off the engine cover along with the air cleaner outlet duct. First detach the accelerator cable from the throttle lever before disconnecting it from the engine cable bracket and then from the accelerator pedal . Draw the accelerator cable assembly out from the bulkhead position. Start by attaching the accelerator cable to the bulkhead while expanding all locking tabs to fix the cable assembly onto the dash panel and preventing any parts of the cable from touching the insulator. Install the accelerator cable on the accelerator pedal by ensuring proper seating of its retainer. After that, install the accelerator cable to both the engine cable bracket and throttle lever. Reinstall both the air cleaner outlet duct together with the engine cover.
