Throttle Cable

Start Throttle Cable/linkage service and repair processes by removing the engine cover together with the air cleaner outlet duct. Start by disconnecting the accelerator cable from the throttle lever followed by the engine cable bracket then terminate cable removal from the accelerator pedal . You should remove the accelerator cable assembly through the dash panel opening. Install the accelerator cable to the dash panel by expanding all locking tabs while ensuring the dash panel insulator remains separated from the cable. Fasten the accelerator cable to the accelerator pedal where the retainer should be firmly in place. Follow with attaching the accelerator cable to both the engine cable bracket and throttle lever. Reinstall the engine cover together with the air cleaner outlet duct.

The replacement process for the accelerator controls cable requires users to first remove the engine cover along with the air cleaner outlet duct. First separate the accelerator cable from the throttle lever then disconnect it from the engine cable bracket before removing both accelerator cable ends from the accelerator pedal and accelerator cable assembly components from the bulkhead. You should start by attaching the accelerator cable to both the engine cable bracket then to the throttle lever. Finish the procedure by restating the air cleaner outlet duct and engine cover.

Ensure the retainer is securely seated.
