Chevrolet Avalanche 2500 Coolant Reservoir Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the coolant reservoir on Chevrolet Avalanche 2500?
A: The cooling system requires draining before proceeding with Coolant Reservoir replacement while also removing the air cleaner assembly. To start installation disconnect the low coolant level switch electrical connector and detach the Coolant Reservoir overflow hose. First unclasp the Coolant Reservoir inlet hose clamp before removing the hose while next unclipping the Coolant Reservoir outlet hose clamp before hose removal. The installation process begins by disassembling the Coolant Reservoir by removing its bolt and nut before removing the tank. Place the Coolant Reservoir in position then install its bolt with torque set to 9 nm (80 inch lbs.) followed by installing its nut with the same torque setting. Place the Coolant Reservoir inlet hose and its clamp before installing the Coolant Reservoir outlet hose and its clamp. After installing the low coolant level switch electrical connector users must reattach the Coolant Reservoir overflow hose as the next step while putting the air cleaner assembly back in position.
