How to replace the front coolant reservoir on Cadillac Escalade? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start replacing the surge tank by draining the cooling system fluid. Start by removing the air cleaner assembly next. Detach the surge tank overflow hose while you disconnect the low coolant level switch electrical connector . Start by moving the clamp off the surge tank inlet hose then take out the hose. Next move the outlet hose clamp then remove the outlet hose. Remove the surge tank by first removing its securing bolt and nut then unmounting the surge tank. Mount the surge tank back in its place before installing the bolt at 9 nm (80 inch lbs.) torque followed by tightening the nut until it reaches 9 nm (80 inch lbs.). First reposition the surge tank outlet hose clamp while reconnecting this hose then reposition the surge tank inlet hose with its clamp installed. Finish by connecting the low coolant level switch electrical connector before installing the surge tank overflow hose then reinstalling the air cleaner assembly. Finishing the process entails cooling system filling.

How to replace the coolant reservoir on Chevrolet Avalanche 2500? Posted by Customer
    A:
The cooling system requires draining before proceeding with Coolant Reservoir replacement while also removing the air cleaner assembly. To start installation disconnect the low coolant level switch electrical connector and detach the Coolant Reservoir overflow hose. First unclasp the Coolant Reservoir inlet hose clamp before removing the hose while next unclipping the Coolant Reservoir outlet hose clamp before hose removal. The installation process begins by disassembling the Coolant Reservoir by removing its bolt and nut before removing the tank. Place the Coolant Reservoir in position then install its bolt with torque set to 9 nm (80 inch lbs.) followed by installing its nut with the same torque setting. Place the Coolant Reservoir inlet hose and its clamp before installing the Coolant Reservoir outlet hose and its clamp. After installing the low coolant level switch electrical connector users must reattach the Coolant Reservoir overflow hose as the next step while putting the air cleaner assembly back in position.

    Q:
How to service the coolant reservoir on Chevrolet Suburban 1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Service of the Coolant Reservoir starts with draining the cooling system. Service on the surge tank requires removal of three components starting with the overflow hose then cleaning the air cleaner assembly. Detach each hose that connects to the surge tank before removing the surge tank hose clamps. Untangle the electrical connector for the Coolant Level Sensor before uninstalling the surge tank's bolt and nut. When installing the surge tank return it to position while securely torquing the surge tank nut and bolt to 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). After securing the surge tank hose clamps attach the hoses while connecting the Coolant Level Sensor electrical connector and installing the surge tank overflow hose. To protect the engine and Heater Core and Radiator from corrosion replace the air cleaner while adding dex-cool coolant to the system and plan for an early coolant replacement at 50,000 km (30,000 miles) or 24 months.

    Q:
How to service and repair the coolant reservoir outlet for 4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L engines on Chevrolet Tahoe? Posted by Customer
    A:
The required tool that needs to be used to service and repair the Coolant Reservoir outlet for 4.8l, 5.3l and 6.0l engines is j43181 heater line quick connect release tool (J43181). Start by draining the cooling system. Disconnect the air cleaner outlet duct clamps at the Throttle Body and mass airflow/intake air temperature (MAF/IAT) sensor locations while removing the air cleaner outlet duct. If the vehicle is without regular production option (RPO) c36 auxiliary heater, perform the following removal: remove the surge tank/heater outlet hose from the mounting clip; if equipped with rpo c36, do the same. Install the j43181 at the outlet hose for the surge tank (black connector) and yank in until the quick connect end of the hose seats. Grasp the outlet hose tightly and drag rpo c36 configuration regardless in order to disconnect it from heater and blower module. Move the surge tank outlet hose clamp from the surge tank, remove the surge tank outlet hose from the surge tank and the Water Pump, and then take out the surge tank outlet hose from itself. For installation, retube the surge tank outlet hose back to the Water Pump with the clamp, attach the surge tank outlet hose to the surge tank whilst positioning its clamp. If the product comes with rpo c36, connect the surge tank outlet hose to heater that blower module and makes sure it clicks in place. Repeat for vehicles without rpo c36. Install the surge tank/heater outlet hose onto the mounting clip thus applicable, installing the air cleaner outlet duct, aligning with the Throttle Body attaching stud. Lastly, tighten the air cleaner outlet duct clamps to the Throttle Body and maf/iat sensor of 7 nm (62 inch lbs) and fill the cooling system.
