Chevrolet Aveo A/C Hose Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the A/C Hose in North America on Chevrolet Aveo?
A: The refrigerant tubes replacement in north america requires starting with cable battery disconnect and refrigerant retrieval. Disassemble the air cleaner housing bolts alongside the air filter housing assembly before removing the electrical connector at the pressure transducer. Start by taking out the evaporator pipe connector block retaining nut situated at the firewall followed by removing the pipe connector block to condenser retaining bolt and the refrigerant suction hose to liquid pipe block retaining nut . First uninstall the support clamp bolt from the liquid evaporator pipe then extract both the refrigerant suction hose and the liquid evaporator pipe. The maintenance continues by unfastening connector block retaining nuts for refrigerant suction and discharge hoses leading to compressor followed by removal of condenser connector bolt and refrigerant discharge hose support clamp bolts . The opening at the receiver-dryer needs capping after removing the discharge refrigerant hose to stop contamination. To install the system position the refrigerant suction hose inside the vehicle before installing new o-rings on the condenser connector block as well as at the liquid condenser and evaporator plate pipe connector block. Attach the refrigerant discharge support clamp bolt first then tighten the bolt to 8 nm (71 lb in), proceed by installing the condenser connector block bolt and tightening it to 16 nm (12 lb ft). After that, install the refrigerant suction hose and refrigerant discharge hose to the compressor connector block retaining nut while tightening it to 33 nm (24 lb ft) followed by securing the refrigerant suction hose connector block retaining nut to 15 nm (11 lb ft). The liquid pipe connector block requires installation onto condenser retaining bolt which needs tightening to 14 nm (10 lb ft) followed by liquid evaporator pipe connector block retaining nut installation at the firewall with 15nm (11 lb ft) torque. Put on the electrical connector to the pressure transducer and after that hook up the air cleaner housing assembly using 12 nm (106 lb in) torque and finally put the negative Battery Cable back and exhaust all air from the a/c system.
