Chevrolet Camaro Blower Motor Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the blower motor on Chevrolet Camaro?
A: You need to take off the instrument panel compartment assembly before replacing the Blower Motor. You need to grab the bottom plastic part of the glove box opening and unscrew its screws into the metal base. Then you can lift away the plastic plate to uncover screws that hold the right side heater duct. Take off the Blower Motor cover and disconnect the electrical harness before you remove both the floor heater duct and right side heater air control valve. Cutting along the case edges with a utility knife helps detach the motor cup without harm. Do this in the narrow space below the lower case. After taking out the Blower Motor and nuts you should clean and smooth the cutout areas of the hvac module case if the blower had been removed previously. Secure the blower service ring to its mounting points by attaching service screws and torque the nuts to 2.4 nm (21 lb in). Attach the Blower Motor together with its service ring assembly on to the hvac module at the correct location and tighten its screws to 1.5 nm (13 lb in). Reattach the Blower Motor wire connector while placing back the right floor heater duct and instrument panel compartment unit.
