How to Service and Repair the Brake Backing Plate on Chevrolet Camaro?

First unhook the rear cable eyelet from the park brake actuator lever before removing the Parking Brake Shoe and parking brake actuator. Begin by extracting the Brake Backing Plate bolts to take out the Brake Backing Plate from the axle. Begin the installation by attaching the Brake Backing Plate to the axle following the fastener notice in service precautions then apply 58 nm (43 ft. Lbs.) torque to the Brake Backing Plate bolts. To finish up install the Parking Brake Shoe and parking brake actuator before you attach the rear cable eyelet to the park brake actuator lever.
