How to replace the Hood Cable for the Primary Latch Release on Chevrolet Camaro?

A screwdriver should enter the latch clip to detach the cable from the primary latch while prying out the cable grommet from the primary latch. Pull the cable out of the radiator support hole before removing the driver side body hinge pillar trim panel. Since the next stage you need to remove bolts and screws on the Hood Cable components plus the Hood Cable handle. Remember to note the cable path when removing the cowl grommet while keeping the Hood Cable patch sealing pad undamaged to stop water penetration. When finished with the cable removal route the new wires correctly before installing them through the cowl with the cowl grommet in place. Secure the Hood Cable handle to its mount points with bolts/screws then tighten them to 7 n.m (62 lb in). The new cable must be connected to the primary latch through this process: clamp the cable to the cable clip and guide it through the radiator support hole until the end fits into the latch clip then secure the cable grommet.
