  Q: How to replace the power brake booster vacuum pump on Chevrolet Camaro?

  A: Begin the power Brake Booster auxiliary pump replacement by taking out the air cleaner resonator and outlet duct. Untwist the power Brake Booster vacuum hose clip before disconnecting the vacuum hose from the auxiliary pump. Unplug the Vacuum Pump electrical connection then detach the m6 bolt and m12 bolt that secure the pump's bracket. Pull the Vacuum Pump out of the engine space while extracting the Vacuum Pump bolts and nuts. Pull off the Vacuum Pump bracket connector retainer and then take out the Vacuum Pump bracket along with its insulator sleeves and insulators. Place the power Brake Booster pump sleeves onto the insulators before you mount them. Put on the Vacuum Pump bracket while conversing with installed bolt torque recommendations. Screw in all Vacuum Pump bolts beyond nuts while controlling them at 22 nm (16 lb ft). Connect the electrical harness connector retainer to its bracket while placing the Vacuum Pump on the engine and inserting the two bolts loosely. Thoroughly clamp the m6 bolt to 10 nm (89 lb in) and the m12 bolt to 70 nm (52 lb ft). Attach the Vacuum Pump hose and connect its fastener before plugging in the electrical cord the air cleaner used to use.
