  To replace Catalytic Converter on a 2.2l engine, one is to lift the vehicle and unplug the Oxygen Sensor wiring harness first. Keep the 3-way Catalytic Converter supported up and remove the intermediate pipe from it. Take out the seal of the Exhaust Manifold and the3-way Catalytic Converter seal and remove the exhaust flex decoupler from the Exhaust Manifold. If the Catalytic Converter needs to be swapped out, also remove the Oxygen Sensor and clean flange surfaces. For installing, replace the Exhaust Manifold seal, install the 3-way Catalytic Converter seal, and reinstall the Oxygen Sensor, if it was taken off. Mount the exhaust flex decoupler to the Exhaust Manifold and tighten the nuts to 35 nm (26 ft. Lbs.). Then, attach the intermediate pipe onto the three-way Catalytic Converter and bolt it down to 34 nm (25 ft. Lbs). Finally, connect Oxygen Sensor harness connector and drop the vehicle.
