The intermediate pipe needs to be cut before removal from both the Muffler and 3-way Catalytic Converter along with the hanger. You need to remove the intermediate pipe then take the 3-way Catalytic Converter seal out of the flange surface while cleaning it. Secure the new 3-way Catalytic Converter seal first before connecting the intermediate pipe to the hanger then fastening the pipe to the 3-way Catalytic Converter bolts while tightening them to 34 nm (25 ft. Lbs.). Secure the Muffler to the intermediate pipe through a clamp before tightening it to 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.). Finally, lower the vehicle.
