Chevrolet Equinox Wiper Blade Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to Replace a Wiper Blade Element on Chevrolet Equinox?
A: Start your replacement task by lifting the Wiper Arm to help position it. Squeeze the metal tabs while taking hold of the insert end near the heel claw to remove the Wiper Blade part. Insert the new Wiper Blade at the heel claw first until its spring locks into the Wiper Blade element groove. Because passenger and driver-side wiper blades have different dimensions you should put the longer blade on the driver position. Leave the retainer clips on the new Wiper Blade unit until you secure it into place. Use your hands to thread the Wiper Blade component past heel claw assemblies. Press the Wiper Blade insert until its metal ends reach the heel claw grooves. When the metal clip from the Wiper Blade insert fails to connect firmly to the heel claw the insert loses its proper hold leading to possible windshield harm.
