How to replace the lower intermediate steering shaft on Chevrolet Express 1500?

The first step to replace the lower intermediate Steering Shaft requires straight-wheeled positioning and lock-positioned Steering Column because the sir coil assembly risks damage. Fit the Steering Column anti-rotation pin (J 42640) inside the Steering Column lower access hole. Note the position of the lower intermediate shaft to the power steering gear before removing its retaining bolt to the power steering gear. Access the power steering gear by removing the lower intermediate shaft and its retaining bolt for the intermediate shaft bearing. Take off the lower intermediate shaft from the intermediate shaft bearing before removing it from the vehicle. Follow these installation steps by inserting the lower intermediate shaft into the vehicle before you attach it to the intermediate shaft bearing. Place the intermediate shaft bearing retaining bolt then torque it to 30 nm (22 ft. Lbs.). Place the earlier-made marks correctly and fasten the lower intermediate shaft to the power steering gear using a bolt that needs tightening to 61 nm (45 ft. Lbs.). Remove the Steering Column anti-rotation pin (J 42640) from the Steering Column lower access hole as your final step.
