How to replace the Leaf Spring Shackle on Chevrolet Express 2500?

Initiate the process by lifting and supporting the vehicle and then suspension a rear axle with safety support. Remove the spring shackle off the Leaf Spring by removing its mounting nut and bolt, and remove it from the frame bracket by removing the mounting nut and bolt. Remove the spring shackles that currently secure the spring and the frame bracket. Install the new spring shackle to the Leaf Spring as well as the frame bracket , positioning it so it fits properly into the frame bracket then secure it to the frame bracket with the mounting nut and bolt but do not tighten the nut. Then, you need to install the spring shackle onto the Leaf Spring by using mounting nut and bolt . Tighten the spring shackle to frame mounting nut to 115 n.m (85 lb-ft) and the spring shackle Leaf Spring mounting nut to 85 n. M (63 lb-ft). Finally, lower the vehicle by removing the rear axle support.
