How to replace the air filter element on Chevrolet HHR?

Begin by removing the air cleaner assembly then unscrew the air cleaner screws. You should split the upper from the lower air cleaner assembly parts before taking out the Air Filter from the lower air cleaner housing to check for dust, dirt and water damage. You should position the new Air Filter within the lower air cleaner housing before attaching the upper air cleaner cover to this housing. Secure all air cleaner screws at 4 n.m (35 lb in torque) before reinstalling the air cleaner assembly.
