Check the lower housing's filter for dust along with dirt and water damage before you remove it for inspection. Follow these steps to install your new air cleaner filter: position it into the lower housing while you attach the upper air cleaner cover securely. Make sure to torque the air cleaner screws to 4 nm (35 lb in). Reposition all air cleaner components back into their original place.
