How to service and repair the Wiper Switch on Chevrolet Lumina?

You should remove the turn signal cancel cam assembly first to access the windshield washer switch. After taking off the lock housing cover's endcap remove its housing and sleeve assembly from the slots by pushing edges downward and sliding it off. Unscrew the round screw and the flat screw at the pulse dimmer rotational pivot to access the internal components. Do not alter the pivot and pulse Dimmer Switch if it stays fixed to the vehicle during repair. When you need to remove the pivot and pulse Dimmer Switch assembly it must disconnect from the lock housing parts without breaking wires. Remove the pivot and pulse Dimmer Switch connector from its bulkhead connector before pulling out the Dimmer Switch component from the lock housing cover and sleeve assembly. The screwdriver opens both wings top and bottom of the switch body while you pull the wire harness clamp off its slot in the cover housing assembly. Secure mechanics wire to each end of the pivot and pulse Dimmer Switch connector and use it to extract the switch unit from the lock housing cover and sleeve.
