A: The procedure of replacing the Automatic Transmission Shift Levers requires starting by removing the throttle body air inlet duct. You must first disconnect the automatic transaxle shift levers cable from its position on the automatic transaxle shift levers before removing its retaining nut. Start the replacement of the automatic transaxle shift levers by removing it from the automatic transaxle. To install the automatic transaxle shift levers you must first position it onto the automatic transaxle while following the fastener notice in service precautions. Fasten the levers using the retaining nut before tightening it to 20 nm (15 ft. Lbs.). Mount the automatic transaxle shift levers cable back onto its position on the levers before making possible adjustments to the cable connection. The installation process requires reinstallation of the throttle body air inlet duct.
