The replacement process of the Power Steering Reservoir starts with pump assembly removal from the vehicle. The replacement process begins with removing Power Steering Reservoir studs from
Power Steering Pump assembly after which the Power Steering Pump fitting and fitting seal are taken out. Before repair start by taking out both the Power Steering Pump flow control valve and its spring component from the pump assembly. Remove the Power Steering Reservoir away from the Power Steering Pump and delete all Power Steering Pump seals (1, 4, 5). Check the Power Steering Reservoir magnet during cleaning before looking at the Power Steering Pump welch plug. Replace the steering pump if the plug is deformed or removed from its place. The Power Steering Reservoir magnet installation needs cleaning before mounting to the Power Steering Pump where Power Steering Pump seals (1, 4, 5) must be secured prior to reservoir connection with the pump. Keep the flow control valve spring within the pump assembly and install the valve next to it then attach the fitting seal. The installation of Power Steering Reservoir studs and flow control valve fitting must begin with hand tightening before all torques are finalized. Next place the Power Steering Pump fitting onto the pump assembly before tightening it to 75 n.m (55 lb ft). Install the Power Steering Reservoir studs to the pump assembly with a torque of 58 n.m (44 lb ft). Connect the Power Steering Pump assembly to the vehicle similarly as before installation.
