  A: The first step in headlamp bulb replacement requires avoiding all contact with the bulb itself and damp surfaces which could result in explosion upon turning on the light; clean the bulb using alcohol or a suitable degreaser before a thorough drying process takes place. Check the defective bulb before starting the replacement process. First use the wheel to reveal the headlamp door access cover inside the wheelhouse liner before removing both the fastener and the cover. The electrical cord should be disconnected from the bulb before the bulb can be released by rotating it counterclockwise ¼ turn. This action allows bulb removal from the vehicle. Insert the new bulb into the headlamp assembly then use counter-clockwise movement to turn it ¼ to achieve proper installation. Next place the headlamp door covering along with its fitting back into position while tightening the fastener between 7-11 n.m (62-98 lb in).
