    Q:
How to Safely Change a Headlight Bulb on Buick Rainier? Posted by Customer
    A:
A proper bulb swap for bravada, envoy, envoy xuv and rainier requires a turning off of the lamp switch and allowing the bulb to reach safe handling temperatures. Eye protection should always be worn and you should handle the bulb by its base while keeping your hands away from the glass to prevent bulb shattering. Handle the bulb by its base only then keep it dry and clean before correct disposal of used bulbs. Start by opening the hood followed by removing the headlamp then continue by taking off the access cover that resides at the back of the headlamp. The electrical connector should be unlocked from its socket before rotating the bulb and socket components counterclockwise to separate them from the housing. Attach the electrical connector to its socket before you apply clockwise rotation to the bulb and socket for secure installation into the housing where retaining tabs should properly lock into position. Affix the access cover to the rear side of the headlamp assembly followed by reattachment of the headlamp unit. Select a black socket to fit high beam bulbs because low beam bulbs need a gray tip coupled with a gray socket.

    Q:
How to Replace the Headlight Bulb on Buick Rainier? Posted by Customer
    A:
The procedure to replace Headlight bulbs on envoy or rainier starts with turning off the lamp switch and waiting for bulb temperature reduction to minimize possible glass shattering. Eye protection must be worn at all times while you handle the bulb through its base because touching glass is forbidden and you need to stay away from dirt and wetness. Moist or touched bulbs require cleaning with alcohol or suitable degreaser before they must be properly dried thoroughly. Open the hood then detach both the headlamp and its associated access cover that is situated behind the lamp unit. First disconnect the electrical connector from its socket and then turn the bulb and socket detachable part counterclockwise to extract them from the housing. Installation of new bulbs requires using a high beam bulb with a black socket and a low beam bulb with a socket having gray tip and gray base. The electrical connector should first be inserted in the socket before setting up the bulb and socket and turning them clockwise until the locking tabs click into place. Complete the procedure by putting back the access cover together with the headlamp. The proper disposal of bulbs requires appropriate methods and all halogen bulbs need to remain out of children's access area.

    Q:
How to replace the Fog Light Bulb on Buick Rainier? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step to replace a fog lamp bulb starts with switching off the fog lamp switch. Perform counterclockwise rotation on the bulb socket so it will come free from the fog lamp housing. Extract the fog lamp housing socket and uninstall the bulb from the socket. Insert the new bulb inside the socket while making sure its tab slots fit properly into the fog lamp housing slots. The socket installation into the fog lamp housing requires turning the socket clockwise while ensuring complete seating.

    Q:
How to replace the front headlight bulb on Chevrolet Equinox? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacement process for equinox Headlight bulbs begins by opening the hood then taking off the fascia to push in the tie bar retainers. Gently pulling the top fascia for several inches will free the headlamp retaining clip from the radiator grille strap while a piece of tape should cover the strap to avoid damaging the headlamp lens. Once the headlamp bolts are removed (1, 2) users can disengage the lower rear headlamp retainer by pulling gently on the bottom outboard corner and then remove the headlamp from the vehicle. To install headlamps users should place the headlamp inside the opening before pushing it backwards for correct engagement of the lower rear retainer. Use torque tools to tighten the headlamp bolts (1, 2) at 2.5 n.m (22 lb in). The radiator grille strap retainer must have its tape removed so you can install the fascia assembly before inserting the radiator grille strap into the headlamp until it engages with tie bar push-in retainers. To complete the process close the hood and verify and readjust front headlamp direction after reinstallation.

    Q:
How to Replace the Headlight Bulb on Chevrolet SSR? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step in headlamp bulb replacement requires avoiding all contact with the bulb itself and damp surfaces which could result in explosion upon turning on the light; clean the bulb using alcohol or a suitable degreaser before a thorough drying process takes place. Check the defective bulb before starting the replacement process. First use the wheel to reveal the headlamp door access cover inside the wheelhouse liner before removing both the fastener and the cover. The electrical cord should be disconnected from the bulb before the bulb can be released by rotating it counterclockwise ¼ turn. This action allows bulb removal from the vehicle. Insert the new bulb into the headlamp assembly then use counter-clockwise movement to turn it ¼ to achieve proper installation. Next place the headlamp door covering along with its fitting back into position while tightening the fastener between 7-11 n.m (62-98 lb in). Set the wheels at a facing direction before finishing the procedure.
